According to the Public Relations Department of Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Farzad Parvizpour, the Director of International Affairs, announced that the results of the fifteenth edition of the Round University Ranking (RUR) 2025 global rankings have been released. Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences secured the 440th rank globally and 8th nationally in the overall ranking. The 2025 evaluation results indicate the university’s global standing has advanced 26 ranks compared to the previous year. Dr. Parvizpour stated that by achieving 181st place globally in the "Teaching" domain, the university now ranks within the Golden League of world universities. The Director of International Affairs further noted that the 2025 evaluation included over 1,200 universities from 80 countries, 32 of which represented the Islamic Republic of Iran. The RUR system, recognized as one of the world’s most credible and transparent university rankings, evaluates institutions based on 20 performance indicators across four key domains: Teaching (40%), Research (40%), Financial Sustainability (10%), and International Diversity (10%). He added that Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences attained third place among participating Iranian medical universities. Harvard University, Stanford University, and the California Institute of Technology secured first, second, and third positions worldwide, respectively. Extending congratulations to the academic community, Dr. Parvizpour attributed the university’s success in international evaluations to the sustained efforts and dedication of all academic members at Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences.
